A new challenge
As of 1 January 2024, I have become director of the Centre de données socio-politiques (CDPS) at Sciences Po for a period of 5 years.
A book on parties and agenda-setting
On December 1st 2021, OUP has published our new book comparing party competition and agenda-setting across 5 countries and over close to 40 years.
About me
I am a professor of political science at Sciences Po, where I currently head the Centre d’étude sociopolitiques (CDSP). I am also affiliated with the Centre d’études européennes (CEE). I am originally from Argentina, but grew up in Germany before coming to France for college. I studied at Sciences Po, the LSE and the University of Cambridge. I teach comparative politics, media and politics and related things. For more than seven years, I have been the editor of the European Journal of Political Research (till the end of 2024). My research concentrates on agenda-setting, political institutions and media and politics. Currently, I am especially interested in the determinants of people’s judgements of government performance and the way media influence policymaking.
Je suis professeur de science politique à Sciences Po, où je dirige le Centre de données sociopolitiques (CDSP). Je suis également rattaché au Centre d’études européennes (CEE). Je suis d’origine argentine, mais ai grandi en Allemagne, avant de venir en France pour mes études. J’ai étudié à Sciences Po, à la LSE et à l’Université de Cambridge. J’enseigne la politique comparée, médias et politique et d’autres cours similaires. J’ai été pendant plus de sept ansle rédacteur en chef du European Journal of Political Research. Mes recherches s’intéressent aux institutions politiques, à la relation entre médias et politque, ainsi qu’aux processus de mise sur agenda. En ce moment, je travaille plus particulièrement sur les déterminants des jugements des électeurs sur l’action du gouvernement et sur la manière dont l’attention médiatique affecte les processus de politiques publiques.
